Access and lifting equipment for every site

Access and lifting equipment for every site

Alfasi Hire built its fleet around the most demanding project requirements in Australia. Our equipment is configured for mining and construction site standards, including MDG15 and BMA mine specifications across our range.

We are ISO9001 and AS4801 certified, one of the few hire companies in Australia to hold both. Every machine ships with the service history, pre-hire inspection, and risk assessment paperwork your site needs. Operator documentation is included as standard, and our team is on hand for site-specific compliance support.

When you need a piece of equipment we don't currently stock, we'll source it. The fleet keeps growing because your projects do.

Alfasi Hire FAQs

Where can I hire access equipment from?

United Rentals supplies access equipment from 5 branches across Australia, covering metro and regional locations in NSW, VIC, QLD and WA. Call 1800 87 4473 or request a quote online and we'll arrange delivery to your site.

What types of elevated work platforms can I hire?

Our access fleet includes scissor lifts, spider lifts, boom lifts, vertical lifts, and glass & panel lifts. Working heights vary by machine, with options for indoor electric work, outdoor rough terrain, and confined access. Tell us about your site and we'll match the right platform to the job.

How much does it cost to hire a scissor lift?

Hire rates depend on the machine size, hire duration, and delivery location. Daily, weekly, and long-term rates are available. Call 1800 87 4473 or request a quote with your project details and we'll come back with pricing.

How much does it cost to hire a boom lift?

Boom lift hire rates vary by working height, drive type, and hire length. We hire articulating and straight boom lifts in electric, hybrid, and diesel options. Request a quote with your reach requirements and site location for accurate pricing.

Can I hire access equipment short-term or long-term?

Yes. We hire by the day, week, or month, and offer long-term hire rates for extended projects. Long-term hires include scheduled servicing and breakdown support across the hire period.

Do I need a licence to operate a scissor lift or boom lift?

In Australia, boom-type elevated work platforms with a boom length of 11 metres or more require a High Risk Work Licence (WP class). Scissor lifts and smaller boom lifts don't require a licence, but operators must be trained and competent. We can provide operator documentation with every hire.

Is your access equipment compliant with Australian Standards?

Yes. Our fleet is maintained to Australian Standards and inspected before every hire. We are ISO9001 and AS4801 certified, and our equipment is configured to meet site-specific compliance requirements, including MDG15 and BMA mine specifications across our range.

Can you deliver access equipment to my site?

Yes. Delivery timeframes depend on your location and the equipment requested. Let us know your site address when you request a quote and we'll confirm delivery options.

What is the difference between a scissor lift and a boom lift?

A scissor lift raises a platform straight up, which suits indoor work, level surfaces, and tasks directly overhead. A boom lift extends out as well as up, which suits reaching over obstacles, working at angles, and accessing awkward positions on a structure. If you're not sure which suits your job, talk to our team.

What happens if my access equipment breaks down on site?

Call our 24/7 breakdown support line and we'll respond. Every hire includes service history and pre-hire inspection to minimise breakdowns, and our service team is on hand across all branches if something does go wrong on site.

Can I hire mine-spec access equipment?

Yes. Our fleet has been modified to meet mining site requirements, including MDG15 and BMA specifications across our access range. Let us know your site's compliance requirements when you request a quote.
