When choosing temporary road barriers for road work projects, water filled Armorzone barriers are a fantastic option due to their practicality, safety and effectiveness.
With a wide variety of uses from crowd control and diverting traffic to ensuring construction site safety, water filled barriers are a no-nonsense work zone protection barrier system.
In this article, we will explore how and why Armorzone water filled barriers will save you time and effort on your upcoming road projects.
How do Water Filled Barriers Work?
Armorzone Water Filled Barriers are heavy-duty plastic barriers which, when filled with water, become sturdy road barriers. The modular water filled barriers are placed and locked together with steel connectors before being filled with water. Easy and quick, the barrier creates a seamless protective blockade with no gaps.
The water-filling system guarantees a rapid set-up time whilst also the ability to easily move the barriers around on-site, as opposed to concrete barriers, which demand a truck-mounted crane to get them in place.
Although perhaps not as protective as concrete barriers, water filled barriers are lightweight, convenient and practical. They are also far more easily transported and installed than concrete barriers.
How Do Water Filled Barriers Protect Road Projects?
Water filled barriers provide a visible and physical barrier for pedestrians, road users and workers on site. The barrier system is designed to absorb the hard impact of lower speed collisions.
The bright colour of the barriers provides high visibility on the road, further adding to the safety they provide for construction and road workers.
In Australia, Armorzone water filled barriers are approved for use on roads up to 50km/hr.
Why are Water Filled Barriers a Better Choice?
As opposed to other road barrier solutions, such as cones, water filled barriers offer a much safer solution for road projects. The safety of those on both sides of a road barrier is so crucial, and that’s where water filled barriers excel.
The weight of the water filled barriers also make them much less likely to be stolen, and they are fitted with anti-tamper water plugs to prevent vandalism.
Because of the system’s design, the Armorzone barrier can also be set up straight or curved, with a radius as small as 28 metres if necessary.
Conclusion
The practicality and convenience of water filled barriers for construction projects and roadworks provide a cost-effective and easy solution. Safe and sturdy, Armorzone water filled barriers deliver incredible benefits to you and your workers.
